It has been way too long since I last updated this blog; I will try to keep a more rigid regiment to blog about myself.

One of the biggest news regarding myself this year happened just last month when I joined forces with a good friend of mine, Lars Koudal and founded Clever Plugins.

Before going into details about Clever Plugins, I want to say a few words about Lars.

Lars Koudal

Lars made his name through his main site myWordPress.com where he covers anything WordPress related ranging from programming tips to usability ideas to interviews with other well known WordPress personas.

He is also the author of several free plugins listed on the official WordPress plugins directory; his SEO Booster lite has been downloaded more than 20,000 times!

In addition to being a talented PHP programmer, Lars has a broad background in Online Marketing, PPC and Search Engine Optimization, graphic and 3D design just to name some of his experiences; you can get the longer introduction about Lars on Linkedin.

Lars is a Dane that lives and work out Barcelona, Spain and looking at my desktop weather gadget, I can see it is 17 degrees celcius in Barcelona right now, while I am suffering in a much more tempered -3 degrees.  I might just consider relocating.

Yeah – that’s me, and for all of you that are not familiar with my background could check me out on Linkedin or get the shorter version here.

My background is in Product Marketing, Customer Support and Project Management; and that is what I am bringing to the team.

I will be heading the marketing, customer support efforts (and affiliate support) and assisting in product development and quality assurance (big word for beta testing).

I am currently working on setting up our new shop and integrating it with our affiliate program to make it easier to purchase our products and easier to make money promoting them.

Clever Plugins

OK – with the backgrounds out of the way, let me give you the low down on our new company.

As we start out, the main focus will be on WordPress plugin development and we already have a respectable lineup to offer our clients.

• SEO Booster Pro – the pro version of the popular SEO Booster Lite – it tracks your incoming Google visitors, researches the current ranking of the keyword and then starts promoting the best suited keywords; automatically.
• my SEO Status – makes it easy to track your Search Engine stats; showing you how many of your blogs pages are indexed in the top search engines and how many sites are linking back to youm, automatically updated and tracked daily.
• my Video Poster – Create your own multi media video site; it scans as many Youtube RSS feeds as you like and post videos directly to your site with thumbnails and leaving no footprint behind.
• Twitter Control Center – There are hundreds of software for Twitter out there, but none lets you set up an unlimited amount of Twitter accounts allowing you to mass follow and mass unfollow individual twitter users; and more importantly, allowing you to post and retweet messages to all your accounts at once.
• WP Viral Traffic – Viral Marketing made easy, allowing you to “viralize” any post or page on your WordPress blog, asking your visitors to refer at least x visitors before they can see the full post/page.  You can promote ANYTHING you want! Pictures, videos, files, text, anything!
• my Users Ping for me – A free plugin that automatically lets your users ping your WordPress blog for you; it is a quick way to get RSS aggregators to index your site reducing the risk of “spamming” as the ping uses the visitors IP and not your websites.

That is just what we have available right now, we are actively working on a bunch of other plugins as well as updates to our current line of software.

The focus on most of our plugins is automation, basically making WordPress do the same things that you do manually; giving you more time to do other things to get more traffic, more sales, more income at the end of the day.

Today has been a very productive day – I updated Blogs by US to the latest version of DT Comfy Plus and had to do some special hand coding to change things around.  I think it turned out pretty nice if I may say so myself.

Been getting a lot of new Twitter followers at the various twitter accounts that we run for our network of sites and I am getting a lot of nice feedback on our new Breaking News sites for Joomla (Joomla Break) and WordPress (WP Break), and traffic is picking up on these not even one week old sites.

So as you can tell, it has been a nice happy Saturday, taking it easy; I even started up my old arcade game (Virtua Cop) and played it for a while, I haven’t been touching it for a while and I left it on when I went back to the office to do some more work.

All fine and dandy; until I noticed screeching noises and car crashing, having totally forgotten that I turned on the arcade earlier, it kind of peeked my interest but I didn’t think much about it until I heard gun shots which is not your average kind of noise in back water town Sweden.

Well; obviously, it was the game that kicked into the play with me mode but I felt a little rush of adrenaline for a few seconds before realizing that.  It gave me something to laugh about.

Speaking of laughing, I am going to lay down infront of the big screen and watch Role Models, it is looking like a pretty funny flick starring Paul Rudd and Sean Wiliam Scott.

This week has been like… nuts!

We have been working hard at launching a couple of new projects, the result – four new web sites added to our ever expanding network.

I had an old site laying around which was getting thousands of traffic but had not been touched for over a year; that site was Different Pictures.

Since the site was getting traffic (mainly related to (de)motivational posters, we decided to dress it up and at the same time; Different Videos was created as well.

These two sites use the Insider theme by Deluxe Themes; amazingly enough, it is a freemium WordPress theme; meaning it is absolutely free to download and use, pay a (VERY) small fee and you get a support that is rivaling ANYTHING I have experienced for any product I have bought in the last year or so.

The support offered by Deluxe Themes is amazing, they have a few different subscription options at various prices, the lowest starting at only $19.99 for three months of support!

Currently they offer nine themes; most of them are newspaper or magazine style which is the current rave for WordPress sites to look and feel like.

We have also dressed up two of our other web sites with themes from them; Front Page Views uses DT Max and OOgle Break uses DT Red Carpet and Blogs by US uses DT Comfy.

As if all that was not enough; we went ahead and lauched Joomla Break and Word Press Break (WP Break) – two digg like web sites which will make it easy for publishers to cross link their CSM related articles and products.

The only other thing on my own personal agenda is to launch WordPress Views (WP Views); which is well over due but we are almost there.  I will keep you updated.

I have let this domain kind of fall to the side, just using it as a personal email server while I have been working on the rest of the Agency Point Publications network.

Well; as of today, I will be updating this blog with my usual introspective enlightenment about SEO, Marketing and my big love in life, Technology which encompasses anything that blinks in cool colors and once in a while make some cool noice.
